Pleasanton, CA: 27 ft Chris-Craft Commander Gone in One Morning

A 27 ft Chris-Craft Commander 27 sat in a Pleasanton driveway for three years, and no one who looked at it twice wanted to buy it. The fuel smell that rolled out of the cabin every time someone cracked the hatch killed every sale attempt. It was a solid fiberglass hull, but the odor was a wall nobody would cross. The owner had no trailer, which meant we couldn't just hook and haul. The boat was parked on blocks in a residential yard with limited access, and moving a 27-footer on blocks across pavers and through a side gate meant we had to bring in a low-boy and stage it carefully. We brought a crane crew out from the direction of Oakland to lift the hull clean and set it on our trailer. The whole job ran under two hours. Once it was loaded, we routed it straight to the processor in Alameda County where the hull gets cut down for scrap and recycling. The driveway got its space back.
