Revere, MA: 27 ft Cal Gone in One Morning

A 27 ft Cal 27 came to us in Revere with the boom missing and the mast corroded at the step where it meets the hull. The boat had been sitting on wooden stands for years, the kind of setup that works fine until someone finally decides it's time to move it. The owner had kept up with registration but never used the boat, and eventually the decision got made. Revere's tight residential spacing meant no real room to maneuver a flatbed, so we staged the haul from the property line and worked the boat out in pieces small enough to clear the neighbor's fence line. We stepped the mast down at the yard and pulled the keel once it was on the truck. The fiberglass hull went to the recycler in Massachusetts, where they separate the glass and resin for processing. The aluminum fittings and hardware got sorted separately. Start to finish, the job ran most of a morning. No title in the drawer, handled per our Massachusetts documentation process.
