27 ft Cal Removal in Salina, KS

A 27 ft Cal 27 sat on wooden stands in a Saline County yard, the boom long gone and the mast corroded at the step where it met the deck. The owner had pulled it out of the water years back, thinking he'd restore it someday. Someday never came, and the boat just stayed there, taking weather and taking up space. When we showed up, the trailer was no longer roadworthy, so we couldn't just winch it on and drive. The keel was still in the hull, and the corroded mast had to come down first before we could move the whole thing. We brought our own heavy-duty cradle, set it under the Cal's hull, and carefully lowered the mast to horizontal. Then we loaded the keel separately once we got the boat to our yard. The whole operation took most of a morning. From there, the hull went to the processor in Kansas City, and the metal salvage went to the recycler. Crews cover all of Saline County: Smoky View, Assaria, Gypsum, Cambria, Brookville, Smolan. We handle pickups same week most of the time, and we've gotten used to the seasonal shuffle out here, folks moving boats in and out of storage facilities before winter or after spring thaw. A 27-footer like yours doesn't sit long once the call comes in. Tell us the address in Salina and we'll give you a date.
