Sandy Springs, GA: 18 ft Starcraft Holiday Gone in One Morning

An 18 ft Starcraft Holiday 18 sat in a driveway in Sandy Springs for three seasons. The aluminum hull had a slow leak history, and the single-axle trailer underneath it had rusted solid. The owner had stopped using it years ago, and one morning he decided it was time to call. The trailer was the real problem. Corrosion had welded the frame to the axle, and the tires had flat-spotted from sitting. We couldn't roll it out. We brought a hydraulic lift and a flatbed, jacked the whole rig,boat, trailer, and all,and loaded it as one unit. The driveway was tight, so we had to angle the approach from the Johns Creek side of the street. Most of a morning, but it moved clean. Once it was on the truck, the Starcraft went to the metal recycler in Fulton County. Aluminum hull, rivets, hardware,all of it had value. The trailer frame followed. No title needed for this one.
