Hauling a motor yacht out of a Smyrna storage lot

A 34 ft Silverton 34 had been parked on stands in a Cobb County yard for a decade, covered in a blue tarp that had started to rot through at the seams. The fiberglass hull underneath was chalky and soft in places, and the whole rig had settled into the red clay like it was never leaving. The owner called because the boat had become part of the landscape, and the landscape was starting to cost him money in property taxes and neighbor complaints. The real problem wasn't the boat itself. It was the trailer. The stands had sunk, the tires were flat and cracked, and the frame had rusted enough that we couldn't trust it to move under load. We couldn't hook it and drag it out. So we brought in a heavy-duty rotator and loaded the hull directly onto our flatbed, left the trailer where it sat, and got the whole thing mobile in most of a morning. The Silverton went to the processor in the next county over, where they cut it down for recycling and salvage. Crews cover all of Cobb County: Roswell, Marietta, Mableton, Kennesaw, Acworth, Powder Springs. Most boats in Smyrna sit on residential property or in storage yards, and we handle same-week pickups depending on the week. A lot of owners move boats into climate-controlled storage before winter or pull them out in spring, and that's when the calls come in. We've got the routes mapped and the equipment ready to roll.
