Hauling a sailboat out of a Torrance storage lot

A 27 ft Cal 27 sailboat had been sitting on wooden stands in a Torrance side yard for three years. The boom was long gone, the mast corroded at the step where it met the deck, and the fiberglass hull was chalky but intact. The owner had bought it to restore, then life happened, and the boat just stayed there. Getting it out meant more than just hooking and pulling. The stands had settled into the dirt, and the trailer underneath had flat tires and rust on the frame. We had to shore up the hull, jack the boat level, and get the trailer wheels rolling again before we could even think about moving it. The route to the street was tight, with a fence line and a power line to clear. We got the Cal loaded and out of Torrance under a morning's work.
