Hauling a skiff out of a Wilmington driveway

The 13 ft Boston Whaler 13 sat in a Wilmington driveway for three seasons. Foam core waterlogged, hull heavy, the fiberglass skiff had become dead weight on a bent galvanized trailer that hadn't rolled in years. The owner had bought it to fish local waters, used it twice, and then life happened. One day he called and said he needed it gone before the neighbors said something he'd rather not hear. The trailer wheels wouldn't turn. The frame had twisted enough that the whole rig sat cocked on the concrete, and the driveway was narrow, boxed in by a garage on one side and a fence on the other. We couldn't tow it out straight. Instead, we disconnected the boat from the trailer, loaded the Boston Whaler onto our recovery truck using a crane lift, and hauled the trailer out in pieces. The whole job took most of a morning. The hull went to the processor in New Castle County for recycling, and the trailer frame got cut down and routed for scrap. Crews cover all of New Castle County: Newark, Middletown, Bear, Glasgow, Brookside, Hockessin. We handle pickups same week most of the time, depending on route density.
