Somebody's father kept that boat registered for years after he stopped taking it out. It sat in the driveway behind the house long after he passed, part of an estate nobody got around to sorting through completely, aluminum hull going dull under years of sun with no cover. The property eventually sold, and the new owners wanted it gone before they moved anything else in.
