Inherited Boat Disposal in Clear Lake, Iowa

Two brothers split up their late father's things, and the jon boat was the item neither one had room for. It had sat behind the lake property for a couple of seasons already, and once the estate settled and the house went up for sale, whoever bought it didn't want a boat left in the yard either. Both brothers tried offering it to relatives first, but nobody local wanted the hassle of hauling a trailer that far for a boat this size. The yard sloped down toward the water hard enough that our trailer needed a spotter guiding the backup the whole way, since one wrong angle would've put a wheel in soft ground near the shoreline. Slow and careful, about fifteen extra minutes. The aluminum hull still had decent scrap value, so it's headed to a metal recycler instead of sitting in a landfill, and the lot's ready for the next owner.
