Madison, AL: 16 ft Crestliner Gone in One Morning

A 16 ft Crestliner 1650 had been sitting in a driveway outside Madison for three seasons. The aluminum hull was full of leaves, the bench seats were stripped down to the frames, and the trailer tongue had a visible bend that made it unsafe to tow. The owner had pulled it out of service years ago and just never dealt with it. We got the call on a Tuesday. The bent tongue meant we couldn't use the trailer as-is, so we brought a winch truck and loaded the hull straight off the frame onto our bed. The aluminum was light enough that the real work was getting around the overgrown shrubs and the power line that cut across the corner of the lot. We had to angle the approach from the street and work around a couple of neighbors' fences. Most of a morning, start to finish. No title in the drawer, which we handled per Alabama rules. The hull went to the metal recycler in Limestone County, where it got sorted for aluminum recovery. The trailer tongue stayed behind for the owner to deal with, and the driveway was clean.
