Hauling a sailboat out of a McLean driveway

A 25 ft O'Day 25 was sitting on stands in a McLean driveway, keel bolts weeping rust streaks down the fiberglass hull like the boat had been crying for years. The owner had bought it with plans to restore it, then life moved on, and the sailboat stayed put. By the time we got the call, the trailer had settled unevenly, one stand was sinking into the gravel, and the whole rig was wedged tight against the garage corner with maybe two feet of clearance on either side. We pulled the mast down first, strapped it to the truck bed, then jacked the hull and reset the trailer axles so we could roll it straight out toward Centreville without scraping the siding. The whole operation ran under an hour. Once we had it at the yard, we pulled the keel, cut the hull into manageable sections, and sent the fiberglass and aluminum to the recycler.
