20 ft Galaxy Removal in Mount Pleasant, SC

A 20 ft Galaxy 2000 bowrider sat in a yard near James Island for three seasons. The previous owner had started stripping it, pulled out the console, left the hull exposed to sun and rain, then abandoned the project. No trailer underneath it, just blocks and rot setting in where the keel met the ground. The main problem wasn't the boat itself. It was access. The property sat tight to a fence line, and the only path out ran through a narrow gate and across a neighbor's easement. We couldn't get a standard hauler through there. We brought in a smaller rotator crane, set it up on the street side, and lifted the Galaxy over the fence line in one piece. From there it was maybe two hours to strap it down and get it rolling toward the processor in Charleston County. Once it hit the yard, the hull went to the cutting bay. Fiberglass that far gone doesn't salvage. It gets sectioned and recycled with the rest of the composite stream.
