28 ft Bertram Removal in Sioux City, IA

A 28 ft Bertram 28 sportfisher had been sitting in a Plymouth County yard for years, twin engines seized and the cockpit sole rotted through. No trailer. The boat was heavy fiberglass, and it was wedged between a shed and a fence line that didn't give us much room to work. We couldn't back a standard hauler straight in, so we brought a smaller rig first, positioned a crane on the property, and lifted the hull clear of the ground in sections. Once it was suspended, we could slide it onto the trailer and route it out toward Le Mars without tearing through the fence. The whole operation took most of a morning. Paperwork was straightforward since the title was handled per Iowa's abandoned vessel rules. We loaded the Bertram and transported it to the licensed processor where the fiberglass got separated from the engine blocks and core materials. What was left got recycled. The yard went back to being a yard. Crews cover all of Plymouth County: Le Mars, Remsen, Akron, Kingsley, Hinton, Merrill. Most calls come in Monday or Tuesday, and we move a boat out the same week.
