Hauling a bowrider out of a Commerce City driveway

A 19 ft Four Winns Horizon 190 bowrider sat in a driveway in Commerce City for two years after the motor seized. The trailer was still serviceable, but the boat itself had become dead weight, and the owner knew it wasn't coming back. We got the call on a Monday morning and showed up the following Thursday with a heavy-duty wrecker and a flatbed. The real obstacle wasn't the boat or the trailer. It was the driveway itself, narrow and sloped toward the street with a utility line running low overhead. We couldn't winch it straight out. Instead, we angled the wrecker, backed the flatbed in at a shallow grade, and used a secondary line to guide the bowrider around the utility line and onto the deck. The whole operation took most of a morning, including securing the rig and verifying the title paperwork per Colorado requirements. Once it was loaded and cleared the property, the boat went to our processor in Adams County. The hull was cut down for recycling, and the aluminum trailer was separated for scrap.
