A 23 ft Chris-Craft Cavalier cabin cruiser had been sitting in a driveway in Mesa County for years, fiberglass hull coated in barn dust and a cracked keel strip running the length of the bottom. No trailer underneath it. The owner had moved to Fruita and decided the boat wasn't coming with him, so he called us to haul it out before the move closed. The driveway was narrow, trees on both sides, and the boat sat deep enough that a standard tow wouldn't work without taking out a fence section. We brought a crane truck instead, positioned it in the street, and lifted the hull straight up and over the trees onto our flatbed. The whole operation took most of a morning. We transported it to our processor in Colorado, where the fiberglass and aluminum got separated for recycling. Title work was handled per Colorado requirements, and the owner got a release document showing the boat was gone.
