22 ft Catalina Removal in Lakewood, CO

A 22 ft Catalina 22 sat in a driveway in Lakewood with its mast down and lashed to the deck, where it had been for years. The fiberglass hull was sound, but the swing-keel trailer had flat tires and hadn't moved in so long the owner had stopped thinking about it as something that could move again. The real problem wasn't the boat. It was the trailer and the tight access to the street. We had to bring a dolly and pneumatic jacks to lift the rig clear of those flats, then roll it out onto the truck bed piece by piece. The mast stayed lashed where it was, and we knew the keel would come out at our yard once we had the hull on the flatbed. Most of a morning, and it was loaded. From there, the Catalina went to the processor in Jefferson County. The mast came off first, then the keel was extracted per standard sailboat protocol. The hull moved through the recycler's line as fiberglass scrap. Done. We cover all of Jefferson County: Dakota Ridge, Ken Caryl, Wheat Ridge, Golden, Fairmount, Evergreen. Most pickups happen the same week you call. Lakewood sits right in our main corridor, and we handle a lot of seasonal moves, boats coming out of storage in spring, going back in before winter. If your 22-footer is sitting on a trailer in a driveway or parked at a storage facility, we've got the route and the equipment to load it and move it out fast.
