Oklahoma Boat Removal and Disposal — flatbed truck hauling a junk boat away

Oklahoma Boat Removal and Disposal

Twenty years of hauling junk boats out of driveways, marinas, and backyards. Firm quote before the truck rolls.

Licensed & Insured Oklahoma Statewide Fast Response

A code enforcement letter is usually what starts things in Oklahoma. Somebody complains about a boat sitting in a yard, and the city sends a notice before the owner has even decided what to do with it. Other times the boat came with the house, left in a shed by whoever owned the place before. Or it sat listed for a whole season with no real offers, and the owner got tired of answering questions about it.

That is the point where boat removal makes sense. My crew handles pickup, transport, and boat disposal for an unwanted boat in one trip, whether it is on a trailer, blocks, or sitting in storage. No title on hand will not stop us. That part is explained further down the page.

How much does boat removal cost?

Starting from
$250

Junk boat on a trailer that rolls, with room for the truck to reach it. From there, four things move the number.

I will tell you which ones apply to yours before we schedule anything.

Size and type

A 14-foot aluminum fishing boat is one job. A 30-foot cabin cruiser is a different one. Length, beam, and weight decide the crew and the equipment.

Where it sits

Driveway on a trailer is the cheapest boat removal there is. On blocks in the backyard takes more work. In a slip, it needs a haul-out. Sunken, it needs recovery.

Condition

Engine already out is cheaper. Fuel still aboard, a hull full of rainwater, a trailer that will not roll: each adds handling.

Distance

Miles to the processing yard are part of the quote. Boat hauling cost scales with them.

Not sure which factors apply to your boat?

Can it be free?

People ask about free junk boat removal. Sometimes the boat has enough going for it, a running outboard, decent aluminum, and we take it for nothing. Sometimes it does not, and there is a fee. We will tell you which one you have.

Our guarantee

The number is firm before the truck rolls.

Twenty years in, nobody has heard a different price at the curb.

What pricing looks like in Oklahoma

If you own a boat in Oklahoma, chances are it's sitting in a driveway or parked at a lake place rather than tied up in a marina. What pushes the number here is distance. Our haul to the processing yard runs long in this state, so that mileage gets built into the quote early. Spring cleanout season brings the biggest rush of calls, and boat pickup requests stay steady the rest of the year. You get a firm price first, and the trailer doesn't move until you say go.

Junk boat pickup, salvage, and old boat removal

One boat, a whole yard, or an emergency. Old boat removal from a driveway or an estate. Junk boat pickup for the one that never sold. Marinas and boat yards call us to clear a season of abandoned slips in one visit. Insurance adjusters call after storms. My crew has floated sunken boats, hauled sailboats out of backyards, and moved a 40-footer through a neighborhood that was not built for it. One call covers removal, transport, and disposal. If it floats, floated, or was supposed to float, we haul it.

Getting rid of a boat legally in Oklahoma

State legal briefOklahoma
Reviewed August 25, 2026

Oklahoma requires a title for every boat, and every outboard motor over 10 horsepower. Canoes, kayaks, kiteboards, and pedal boats are exempt unless motorized. Service Oklahoma now handles titling, having taken it over from the Oklahoma Tax Commission on January 1, 2023.

Transfers must be notarized and filed within 30 days, with the HIN verified. A plain bill of sale only works from a state that does not title or register boats. Oklahoma has no bonded title for boats, only cars. Instead: an Ownership Affidavit, Form 753-BM, when a boat was titled elsewhere and the seller cannot be found; a DPS inspection for homemade boats with no HIN; or, for an abandoned boat with no known owner, a statement of facts filed with the Tax Commission. A title runs $2.25.

Oklahoma removes boats under its Boating Safety Regulation Act, enforced by DPS Highway Patrol and local police, 48 hours after abandonment or immediately if dangerous. The holder gets a lien and can sell after 10 days notice. The state does not fund removal.

If the boat is not yours. Under Title 42 Section 91A, a landowner can go after a boat that is untitled, titled without a lien, or titled out of state, and Section 4217.4 gives a special lien with sale rights after 10 days notice. It works, but the paperwork is on you. Removal is the shorter road.

Skip the paperwork. We take Oklahoma boats with or without titles. One call, one price.

Boat removal in Oklahoma: what owners ask

How do I get rid of an old boat in Oklahoma?

In Oklahoma you can sell the boat, donate it, drop it at a salvage yard, or call boat removers to take it off your hands. Selling rarely works once buyers see what the hull needs. We come out, load it, and haul it away.

How much does boat disposal cost in Oklahoma?

There's no set price for boat disposal in Oklahoma, it depends on the boat you have. Size, where it sits, condition, and distance to haul all shift the number, and the pricing section above walks through each one.

Where can I dispose of a boat in Oklahoma?

In Oklahoma you can go to a salvage yard, a recycler, or a removal service that handles the disposal side for you. Most landfills turn away a boat dump since hulls do not break down like household trash. We take care of that step ourselves.

Can I get free junk boat removal in Oklahoma?

Sometimes, yes, if the boat has salvage value, a working outboard or good aluminum, that can cover the cost of taking the unwanted boat away. If not, there's a fee, and we say which before we book the job.

Are there boat salvage yards near me in Oklahoma?

Yes, Oklahoma has boat junkyards and salvage yards like most states do. They take boats that show up on a trailer, towed in and ready to drop off. If yours can't travel, removal is the missing piece.

How do I dispose of a fiberglass boat in Oklahoma?

Most landfills in Oklahoma won't take a fiberglass hull, the resin and glass don't break down over time. What happens instead is the boat gets cut into sections and hauled to a facility set up to process fiberglass. That's removal-service territory.

Can you remove a boat without a title in Oklahoma?

Oklahoma titles just about every boat and its outboard motor. None of that stops us, we still come get the boat either way. The legal section above covers the paperwork side, abandoned boat removal on our end does not change.
